  1. It shouldn't be doing that with Verbs so you probably have some sort of drive (get another one)/media (get another spindle - made in Singapore of course)/system issue.
  2. It's nothing my end, the drive reports what it wants to report.
  3. What are you actually trying to save off the hdd? If you can't find the files in r-studio's list (I expect you can search through what it has found) or don't really care if you get them back again or not, yeah just format it and start again.
  4. The same as what you've got there probably (I assume they're Verbatim?), but either DVD-R or DVD+R and not DVD-RW or DVD+RW. I also use Taiyo Yuden (Victor JVC) discs myself.
  5. So then your drive just seems to have a problem verifying discs after it's just burnt them.... maybe it's heat related?
  6. Nope, I can't help, sorry.
  7. If that's the case, you should be able to Verify them now and they won't cause the drive to report/return an error. There's only one way to read a disc. If it works in one program, it should work in all of them.
  8. I don't know the right settings for the cheapo discs, I've only ever messed with Verbatim stuff.
  9. It has nothing to do with the image you're burning.
  10. Because there's probably nothing (major) wrong with it. Your drive is just messing up as it tries to reinitialise the disc (after the program cycles the drive tray before Verify starts)
  11. And at 24x and 32x? If nothing works, you can try cleaning the drive or buying better discs (Taiyo Yuden).
  12. You're going to have to buy some other discs.
  13. Yeah, I'm not going to get into excluding ads. The Ask toolbar isn't something that 'infects' people. It can also be uninstalled very easily via the usual method in Control Panel.
  14. Your burner seems to be having trouble reinitialising (after cycling the tray) the disc it just burnt. For some reason, it's reporting that the disc is a DVD-RAM disc, which obviously it isn't, it's a DVD-R. Normally, that isn't a good sign as it either means the burn wasn't 100% or the drive is just faulty in general. Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc (or manually). Try using better discs. Try burning at all supported write speeds - 2x isn't one of them but 4x and 8x are.
  15. Google serves up the adverts and what you see can vary each time you visit.
  16. The program saves the log automatically when you close it down. You can access old logs via the 'Help' menu. If all you're doing is burning a disc and trying to get it to verify, try using some write once (DVD-R / DVD+R) discs instead of rewritable stuff. If you must use rewritables, try doing a full erase on them first - oh and make sure they are clean - no fingerprints / dust / scratches etc.
  17. Copy and paste ALL of the text please (i.e. including the bit from the burn), the screenshot doesn't really show me anything useful.
  18. I'm sorry, I don't know why your drive is doing that, it just is.
  19. I've never had that error during testing. Try turning off 'perform opc before write'. If you still have a problem, try clearing the opc history. If you still have a problem, maybe it's the discs / drive.
  20. Please post the log so we can see what you're doing and what's happening - as per the pink box up the top.
  21. Well, if you're looking to use a robotic device, you're out of luck as I don't think it would really work. You'd need to load each ibb in turn and create a disc image, then use the queue in Write mote to burn them all using your robotic device. This topic may help. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=21042 All of the command line stuff can be found in the ReadMe.txt file.
  22. New DVD+RW have to be formatted before they're used for the first time. By default, ImgBurn will actually do a full format on any disc that doesn't have a 'Formatted' status of 'Yes' (as shown in the disc info box on the right when you're in Write mode).
  23. They probably are one of the best... maybe it's the drive?
  24. If it gets to 2.5% and hangs, you already have your answer... 'No'. I've used r-studio in the past to recover stuff. Let it do a complete hdd scan and then copy/rescue/restore what you can from the listing it comes up with onto another drive.
  25. You may not want FHT on if you're using those discs and a modified firmware.
