  1. You'll have to find another tool for the job. ImgBurn isn't what you need.
  2. That's the program doing a dummy decode process on the file to get an accurate length of it. The disc can't be burnt without knowing such info. So no, it can't be disabled.
  3. Did that sonic driver get removed when uninstalling the Roxio software?
  4. Sorry, I'd forgotten about it being ok for a random amount of time after a restart... keeping in safe mode isn't exactly feasible! It is a very odd issue and I don't really know what to say. You'd pretty much just have to monitor it by opening the program every now and then as you're using your machine normally and see if you've done anything (used a certain program, bit of hardware or whatever) between things working normally and your drive I/O going really slowly. You don't actually need to want to burn anything, just load the program and close it again. Maybe you'll eventually narrow it down. Do you have anything listed in your 'filter driver load order' list? You can access that via the Tools menu. You can check event viewer if/when it goes slowly again too... see if there are any errors logged by the system.
  5. Now try safe mode. It could also be something like the AV software you're running. It's just going to be trial and error on your part to get your system working as it should do.
  6. Assuming you've tried all three of the speeds your drive claims to support them at and they all fail, try some different discs.
  7. Nope, that's perfect. There's no difference between using Build mode or Write mode. If one succeeds or fails, the other should do too. It looks like your drive is doing a bad job of burning the 2nd layer and it's producing an unreadable disc. Your drive's firmware is up-to-date and you aren't trying to burn too quickly, so try something other than 'RITEK-DR3-000' media.
  8. It's actually the first bit I was after. You should be able to copy and paste everything up until where it starts hitting all the read errors. Failing that, attach the actual log file itself.
  9. No, forget the LG. Get the cheap one, they're all the same. $15 is a bargain! https://www.amazon.com/Lite-Internal-Optical-Drives-IHAS324-17/dp/B00N9JEZCI/
  10. Please post the log - as per the pink box up the top. You don't need to change any settings, the default work just fine. If your drive is producing bad burns, it'll probably be due to the media you're using... but other things like firmware and write speed can also come into it.
  11. I don't know, it would be trial and error. Do update your drivers. I think Intel actually pulled your version from their website... they must have been bad.
  12. It's not just the payload that you need to worry about. Loads accept the payload... very few produce working burns. The key feature that produces working discs (at least with MKM-003-00) is only available on the LiteOn drives (and true clones). I expect anything you buy new these days will be an 'iHAS124 F' or 'iHAS324 F'. Both of those will support the required features and they're about £15 - £20 here in the UK.
  13. Please refer to the 'License' section at the very bottom of the main page on the website. http://www.imgburn.com/
  14. No, buy a LiteOn.
  15. There's no issue with dvdram here, that's just how your drive identifies itself. The actual issue is that your drive reported a 'write error' when trying to burn the discs you're using. If the drive can't burn them at any of the speeds it claims to support them at, try different discs. If they don't work either, try another drive.
  16. Ok so it's not stuck, your machine is just taking ages to process the commands for some reason. It could be down to the controller drivers. Are you running the latest 'Intel Rapid Storage Technology' ones? Some other software could be interfering- try booting into safe mode and see if the same thing happens. EDIT: It looks like there's a newer v14.8 available... and even a v15.2. Visit Intel's site to download them.
  17. Please just copy and paste the text from the log window, there's no need for pictures
  18. There isn't, no. You'd require an authoring program for that so you can make a proper BD Video disc.
  19. It doesn't look like your drive is capable of formatting them (at least not with spare areas and certification). If you can find an alternative BDXL BD-RE, try that.
  20. Where did you download it from in the first place?
  21. If you haven't put a blank disc in the drive, that's why it's saying what it's saying.... put a blank disc in the drive. If it's still saying 'Medium not present' after you've put a blank disc in the drive, your drive can't read the discs you're using properly / doesn't support them - or your drive is broken.
  22. If it verifies back ok, the data is all there.
  23. They're LTH discs rather than the more reliable HTL ones. Avoid LTH where possible.
  24. Yup, Tools -> Drive -> Erase -> Full or right click the drive selection box and do Erase -> Full or when you're in one of the burning modes (Write / Build (Device) / Discovery), there's a little Erase button in the Destination box where you pick the drive.
  25. The CLI stuff just automates bits in the GUI, so if it works when you click with a mouse, there must be something wrong with your command line. The command line you posted earlier is obviously very wrong as you've bodged it from Build mode to Read mode and half the switches don't apply/exist. Take a look at the ReadMe.txt file again and start with the basics to just get it working, then add bits you want to 'try' and make work.
