  1. Ok well personally I'd remove: NTIDrvr ASAPI pfc PxHelp20 Afc and then reboot.
  2. If that works all the time now, you must have another driver in your machine that's screwing up the I/O subsystem. You really don't want to use ASPI - there's a reason they stopped making it and MS told people not to use it. What do you have in your Filter Drivers list? (check it out in the Tools menu)
  3. Is ImgBurn still using SPTI?
  4. If it's at all possible, get that drive off usb and make it internal. You might also like to try updating to the 1.18 firmware. http://www.pioneer.eu/files/support/DVR/DVR115D_FW118EU.zip
  5. The size of the ISO built by ImgBurn doesn't have to be the same as the one made by another program. So if when you say 'original' you're talking about a disc that wasn't created and burnt by ImgBurn, that's why.
  6. Yup if the line isn't there then the control isn't changed.
  7. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me I'm afraid. Build mode should tell you exactly how big the image is that it'll create. That size should then be the same when you open it in Write mode. Can you provide a test case when that's not true?
  8. They're not ignored so to speak, what you tell it to do is still happening, it's just that the IBB is being loaded after they've been changed and hence changing them again. It's too much hassle to sync everything nicely when various threads have to be taken into account and CLI obviously isn't my main concern.
  9. Is there an actual reason why the 'dummy file' method cannot be used? Ok so it might not be 100% what you're after but does it REALLY matter? Either way, there's no way around it so far as ImgBurn is concerned. You might be able to achieve exactly what you're after with other tools, I don't know.
  10. ImgBurn cannot be used to backup your original movies - they contain copy protection to prevent you from doing exactly that.
  11. Try the A111 firmware (click the link below). A111 Firmware Link You might also like to try slowing the burn down to 8x or 12x. After that, ditch the Sony discs and try some Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden ones instead. It might be an idea to re-enable the 'Verify' option too so you know you're getting a good burn (as obviously yours are questionable at the moment).
  12. If you're having problems sourcing media, tell us where you're from and we'll point you in the right direction. Here in the UK most of us probably use www.svp.co.uk They carry the full range of Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden discs.
  13. Imation don't make discs, they just stick their brand name on them. The only decent DL dye is the MKM one and Verbatim are the only people who (can?) use it.
  14. Pick an LB position and click ok! Why not take a look at the guides if you're not 100% sure on what you're doing? They're there to help.
  15. Ok cool that saves me doing any work then The drive is probably ok, I think they're liteon clones anyway and it appears to be a recent enough model. To be honest I don't recall ever seeing DVD-R DL besides Verbatim ones! I'd kinda hoped nobody else would bother making them (and that Verbatim would stop) but it seems RITEK felt they needed to. Once you've tried the Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL's, you'll know if the drive is any good or not. If it can't burn those it probably can't burn any DL discs. If the drive offers multiple 'supported write speeds', make sure you try them all in case of failure.
  16. It all depends on where you live. Here in the UK most of us probably use www.svp.co.uk ** OFF TOPIC ** Whilst you're here, could you please do me a favour and see if the 'Lite-On' booktype options work on that drive at all? Just click Tools -> Drive -> Change Book Type. Then switch to the liteon tab and see if they all come up 'failed' or if they work.
  17. You want to stick with 2.4x disc on that drive, I believe that's all it can handle anyway so anything 8x is too new for it (unless it has a very recent firmware?) So far a DL discs go, you want DVD+R DL and NOT DVD-R DL. For SL discs get whatever you want. I personally like the 8x Taiyo Yuden ones with the TYG02 dye. Verbatim either use the MCC dye or the TY one - both are excellent although I prefer the TY one for their DVD-R discs. So the dyes you're looking for are: TYG02 - 8x DVD-R TYG03 - 16x DVD-R YUDEN000-T02-00 - 8x DVD+R YUDEN000-T03-00 - 16x DVD+R MCC 02RG20 - 8x DVD-R MCC 03RG20 - 16x DVD-R MCC-003-00 - 8x DVD+R MCC-004-00 - 16x DVD+R MKM-001-00 - 2.4x DVD+R DL
  18. RITEK-S04-66 is actually quite a new dye so whilst you might have got the same 'brand' as before, it's the dye that's important and I guess they changed which one their discs use.
  19. The round thing by your desk that they call a 'bin'
  20. If you have another failure, please post everything from the log window so we can see exactly what's up.
  21. Use the attached file, it should work ok. EDIT: Attachment removed.
  22. If you've used 'The Dangerous Brothers' one (which is probably what you've done) then the drive will now be region free and the official Pioneer firmware won't work anymore. You need to get it back to being an RPC2 drive before the official Pioneer flashes will work.
  23. Where did you get the 1.15 firmware from? The DVR-112 v1.24 firmware that I provided a direct link to in my first reply should work fine, so if it doesn't now it's probably because of the 1.15 firmware you've put on.
  24. The 1.09 wasn't reading those DL discs properly - or at least I don't know why it was trying to erase it as if it were a DVD+RW disc?! (maybe that was something you were doing? STOP IT!) With 1.24 firmware it should work fine - hence the reason for you needing to upgrade. There is no way that 1.24 firmware would load the 1.15 one so I suggest you download it again and run the proper file - and select the proper drive if you have 2 or more Pioneer 112's ?
  25. You can't burn 7GB onto a DVD+RW (which only holds 4.37GB) - of course it's going to fail. How did you get the 1.15 firmware from that link?! It's the 1.24 firmware.
