For -R most of us use Taiyo Yuden TYG02 8x , which are usually only available from online stores. You can get 12x and 16x , these are marked as TYG03 , but i prefer the older 8x TYG02's. look at the link in Cynthia's post above , i think it suggests what stores are in the US who supply these as well as the DL verbatims. EDIT better still, post a log file in case your problem is being caused by something else

Have any +R disc's worked on the Panasonic DVD-RV32 player? according to panasonic's manual , this player does not support the +R format. DVD-Video, DVD-R (R4.7), CD-Audio (CD-DA), Video-CD, CD-R/CD-RW (CD-DA, Video-CD formatted discs) * It may not be able to play some CD-R/RW due to the condition of the recording. panasonic players are notoriously picky with what brands of media they will play. I had 2 panny's that would not play -R verbatim's with the MCC dye !.

from the log we can see that it couldnt even complete the first layer of the two, so on this occasion it didnt even get to the 50% point. with DL media thats not good. they normally struggle after completing the first layer Do a burn with the Verbatims mmalves suggests above and post the log file. You havent said if youve tried these verbs on this drive ( although you say you did on your old machine), also the explanation by mmalves above tells you why we recomend those paticular verbatims.

firstly , its not an I/O error like the topic suggests, see whats highlighted in red above Incompatible Format Its as Cynthia said above, crap media,and your drive just doesnt recognise it not long after it starts writing to the second layer. change to verbatim for DL work as the link cynthia provided suggests.

Panasonic dvd players are notoriously fussy about what media they will play. Maxell use lots of other manufacturers dyes/inks on there discs. the example you used in the log above uses Ritek ink/dye. Although you have tried differant media, you may have bought another brand whose dye/ink is just as bad for a panasonic to read.without seeing a log from your previous brand of media, we dont know what you changed "from" . You need to try decent media, like Taiyo yuden

its a straight forward write error, which points directly to the discs being used. the simple fact that kanata30 mentioned memorex was enough to tell us that the discs do not have the ID of MKM-001( which the recomended verbatim discs have). cheapest easiest option is to try better media. The only way you can say there problem is common, is because they use cheaper/inferior discs and not the verbatims we recomend. for DL+R you need to use verbatim's 2.4x with the ID of MKM-001 that are made in Singapore ( NOT the ones made in India) . update to the latest firmware for the drive if there is one available, then if problems still persist we start looking at other things

LG burners are OK , dont know why you say it a bad one ? as it happens, Lightning_UK allowed for people forgetting to save the log file, and arranged for ImgBurn to do it automatically for you HELP tab > ImgBurn logs .

yes. extract the first one and the rest will do themselves in the process, then you'll end up with 1 x .iso file. Though why someone would want to break a file into 68 rar files is beyond me

but are you using the exact same discs you used in *ero's trial version ? have you read this http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 your using Ritek f1 media , not verbatim !.Could be you just found a crappy disc in the spindle when you tried it in ImgBurn. looked for an updated firmware for the drive ?

what are you actually trying to achieve ? is this project to be a dvd video or just a data back up ? If its a total of just 1 video in the 68 rar files, just point winrar at the first rar file and chose "extract" . it will do the other rar files for you. depends what you end up with depends what to do after winrar. if its an ISO, just burn it, if its something else , ie VOB,BUP,IFO files, use build mode in IB

first suggestion is media your using , your using discs with the ID of RICOHJPN-D01-67 see the following link http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 and change to verbatims you could see if theres a firmware update for your drive. laptops aint the best for burning, a decent external drive is much better

Not with ImgBurn you cant. IB is only a burning program, not an encoding prog. You need to google "wmv to dvd" progs like convertx to dvd , and tmpgenc dvdauthor may well convert it for you, then of coarse, use ImgBurn to burn it to disc. ImgBurn will "build" a dvd compliant disc for you from most encoding programs outputs, so you dont have to make it into an ISO first

same here with Kaspersky, ImgBurn installed on 2 diff machines with 3 diff versions of IB and no problems or reports from the AV

thank u =] umm do u mean like computer? No, Cynthia meant what model of dvd drive/writer do you have . look back at Locoeng's previous post, that tells you how to find out what model it is

Im not saying thats the definate answer but it cant do any harm, so give it a go . only you know if the lense is/could/might be dirty

In RAID0 , isnt that like having 1 large drive instead of 2 smaller ones, where the data gets spread all over the place instead of going on just 1 of the drives ? causing an I/O error somewhere ( although not showing in IB log)
