the X in 12x is the same it means times as in 12 times speed ,good luck trying to find 10x-12x discs I had a look after reading one of LUK's posts and found plenty of 3X-5X couldn't find anything faster
-
now that you mention I seem to recall that they were in deep do do and 1 or both were headed for the slammer

I'd try with more than 1 virus checker they're only as good as their virus definitions and sometimes things get by.Did you reboot the computer after you removed the malware? also to remove certain stuff you have to remove it from the registry ,there are nasties that start up again after a restart . BTW you do have an anti virus program installed dont you .If you get online its a must ,I use Norton AV works great although not everyone likes it

Coaster Coaster Coaster...Spent $1000+ going broke
polopony replied to A New Guy's topic in ImgBurn Support
swapping parts can get expensive, you probably have enough to make a good start on another computer but glad you got it going, when stuff goes wrong then you work backwards undoing any new software you installed before things went wrong and also the same with hardware -
it usually is where CMC MAG is concerned, glad to hear you sorted it out
-
like its been said CMC MAG stuff sucks and furthermore trying to write anything at 16X is a waste of time the scans fall off after 12x and so does the quality ,try burning some at 6x-8x and see how it goes .I have burned to Phillips +R (CMC) at 6x and they verified fine ,a friend of mine gave me 25 to put some stuff on them for her but personally I wouldn't bother using them for myself its Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden if not its a waste of time and effort
-
you'll soon be opening your own GYN practice DR LFC

I have 2 NEC's the latest being a 3500 it just burns perfect discs to Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden discs every time all verify 100%,its also burned alot of them 500+ is an easy guess
-
dont throw them away discs that dont always verify do play OK on standalone players ,you can check them out and decide for yourseld 1x-2x for cd seems to be awful slow I just burn music to cd's and its usually around 32x try another speed
-
but she wasent used to pouring it, so she just shoved the whole bottle instead would cut down on the cleanup,I told you she was considerate and helpfull
-
that crossed my mind but wasn't sure ,now I am the 1300 is pretty old as burners go .I have a 2500 and a 3500
-
yeah the 1300 does + and - but the discs you're using (I 12:57:29 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: ProdiscF02)) aren't all that good change media Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden are the discs to choose I find it strange that it doesn't list any supported write speeds .

Microsoft extends Xbox 360 warranty Original 90-day coverage policy extended to one year; software giant to automatically send out reimbursement checks for repairs. By Brendan Sinclair, GameSpot Posted Dec 23, 2006 9:16 pm PT After continued reports of Xbox 360 owners experiencing hardware problems, Microsoft in September acknowledged that its original batch of systems was experiencing a higher than normal rate of failure. It also committed to repairing for free any system made before January 1, 2006 and providing refunds for "the small group of customers who have already paid for repairs." That small group of people who have had their repair costs refunded is about to get larger, as Microsoft has now extended its standard Xbox 360 warranty in the US and Canada from the previous 90-day period to a full year from the date of purchase. While systems purchased at the Xbox 360's November 22, 2005 launch are now out of even the extended one-year warranty period, Microsoft has said those who have paid for an out-of-warranty repair that would have been covered by the extended policy will be eligible for an automatic reimbursement. The reimbursement checks should arrive in about 10 weeks, according to Microsoft. Customers can find more detailed customer support and warranty information at www.Xbox.com.

I 17:13:37 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: MCC-003-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 8x, 12x) I 17:13:37 Write Speed: 10x this stands out in your post you have chosen 10x write speed a speed that isn't supported by the media (see first line above) I have never seen 10x as a supported speed ever on any media Have you checked that you're using the latest Firmware ? I believe these are 8X discs try burning at 8x and see what happens could also be a bad disc in the spindle
