of course alog would have been nice
  2. I knew that or maybe a lens cleaning disc might help
  3. you're trying to burn at 1x thats a thing of the past and if you look at the supported write speeds its not an option .With that media Verb oo4's you can safely burn up to 12x and get good quality ratings .If the write speed you choose isn't supported then its up to the drive to select it from its firmware and you get whatever you get . Set the write speed to 8X and leave it alone the best burns on that media are the 8x ,the quality scans support this.

are you saying that between the max burn and the 4X burn you updated the firmware if this is so and you want to experiment then try another at max or 8X. Since you haven't posted a log(it should be mandatory) I'm not really sure what the supported write speeds are with your media/drive Quick look at the graph shows the red line (write speed ) maxing out at 8X. look at the speed 8X cav so its not really burned at 4x Again a log would confirm all this stuff like max write speed and average
  5. is the problem on the original ? Download Daemon Tools its a virtual drive, load the ISO and navigate to the same spot on the ISO and see if the glitch is also there if it is then its back to the original from which the ISO was made
  6. you dont say what you're trying to play them with (software) PowerDVD and Media Player Classic work best and MPC is a free download . We see a lot of players not playing discs but hardly ever computers so try MPC and see if it plays them .The more info you provide the better your chances for a fix
  7. fully agree ,here on the forum after all the scans and tests that have been done we inform people that the quality ratings drop off at 16X and you should not burn over 12x also limiting external burners to 8X . I burn everything at 6x myself and have had no problems for a long time all verify 100% .There are people who get caught up in the numbers has to be newest has to be fastest has to burn perfect although they are multitasking with many windows open and the extra couple of minutes it takes to burn slower and get a better product is advice they dont want or take , then its IMGburns fault
  8. its media ,we only reccommend Verbatim +/- or Taiyo Yuden discs and most of the beta testers limit burning speed to 8X ,the high speed 16X burns dont produce scans with as good of quality as 8X
  9. close out any programs that you may have open and then use Lite ON's flashing tool to flash the new firmware. I have a Lite On rom and I find that to flash them is very easy should take you 5 minutes even though the disc Failed to Verify Sectors! it doesn't mean that it wont play OK stand alone players are not as picky as a computer is those Yudens are good discs
  10. I use a NEC3500 myself ,its an older model but turns out perfect dvd on Verbatims and Yudens .If you get a BenQ the 1670 can be had for about $30-$40 they're getting hard to find but www.meritline.com has some also the 1655's
  11. If you can post a log along with your questions that helps a lot .In build mode you have the option of adding files or folders to be made into an ISO .Check the guides forum
  12. you're supposed to create an ISO file for burning with IMGburn (Image burn =ISO burn) The audio Ts folder has nothing in it and has nothing to do with making a playable dvd
  13. if you come looking for advice then accept it and while you changed discs it doesn't mean anything if they're not Verbatim or Yudens ,there is a lot of crap media for sale Memorex to name 1 Paste a log so we can see what media you're using so you dont start on another fruitless mission
  14. I reccommend www.someotherforum.com
  15. I never choose delete image for that reason (failed burn) although its been years since I made a coaster .When I'm happy that all has burned fine then I go back to my HD (D ) and delete from there ,its easy enough and you can delete 10 iso's in less than a minute

    V2.2.0.0

How rude ,cant you take off from work and put all your other responsibilities aside to get this done I mean there are people waiting in line to get free stuff and their time is very valuable
  17. we dont discuss ripping DVD's here for legal reasons we dont support DVD shrink a ripping software for same reason we do support IMGburn and the burning of ISO's
  18. Lawyer: RIAA wants to shut down the Internet yeah and I want to win tomorrows lottery , we're both going to need an awfull lot of luck
  19. copy and paste a log so we can see whats up, what media, drive, etc
  20. the bad news is your movie collection (originals) would be copy protected and IMGburn will not make a copy its a burning program . For legal reasons we dont support copyright bypassing, it has to be that way sorry . If you spend some time with Google I'm sure you will find what you want and again for legal reasons I can't link you there

theres posts all over the place showing that quality drops off after 12X but man thats off a cliff ,I think most of the beta testers are happy with 8X and the quality is excellent
  22. Shamus throws his old Pioneer 120 POS at the neighbors cat to keep him on his toes
  23. I 01:02:23 Source Media Type: DVD+R (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: AML-002-00) (Speeds: 6x) hey tiger ,how many people have to tell you that this media is shit before you believe . Get some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs or keep banging your head on a wall trying to get the AML discs to work ,Good Luck
  24. its an expression of surprise ie holy cow, gosh, goodness me, blooming heck
  25. I 16:10:22 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01) (Speeds: 2.4x) poor quality media get some Verbatim dual layer discs there is also newer firmware BCIC
