If I remember right the rings were indicators of where the burn speeds changed, they jump in a series of progressions and the switch from 4x to 8x or x to x can produce the ring .This was covered a couple of years ago on the LUK's other forum if my memory serves me right

if you're going to give it to the government then you might as well set up a foundation thats recognized by the IRS and then you can give the money to a cause thats near and dear to you .Like its been said you dont have to be brilliant but surround yourself with those who are, Ross Perot comes to mind

once you write anything to a single layer dvd and the burn fails that disc is a coaster you cant pick up where you left off with that disk.If you have a pause when buffers are running out having BURNPROOF enabled will make sure that the burn goes fine it momentarily pauses the burn to give the buffers a chance to fill again.

The services are done in various packs

try burning at slower speeds .You can set the speed in IMGburn to whatever your drive and media will support .You're not going to get the best burns at 16X the scans and graphs seem to back that up try 12x or just vary the speed untill you get a good burn .Ps what media are you using Verbatim and Taiyo Yudens are the way to go,also what burner are you using
-
looked at their brand names they sell under and I've never seen them anywhere.I'm sticking with verbs and Yudens period

from what I read yeah its available but not to general public supposed release is this month . DvdinfoPro has it and NicW is working on his software for support .You can request it from Zebra for beta testing at www.cdrinfo.com/forum/fb.asp?m=103794 from the forum "As Zebra may have already told you, we were contacted by NEC to include scanning for their 3500 drive in DVDInfoPro. Here is a screen shot of the NEC PI/PIF scanning routine I am working on. I am trying hard to get this ready by the next release which should be around 17th March. The routine needs a new firmware which is unreleased at this time, I expect NEC to release this soon. Please liase with Zebra for beta testing of this routine, I am have been very busy working on other versions that you may or may not have heard about yet. cheers NicW "

"Status: Incomplete" on TDK 8x ScratchProof DVD+R
polopony replied to Bogwire's topic in ImgBurn Bugs
drives and media ,just like it says different drives burning different media, look at the drive what media its burning then is the operation successfull, will it verify, namely a comparison of the burned disc against the original ISO file then theres the PI/PO tests if the errors are low and the graph is consistent then you have a good match between drive and media and will give you good results .The bottom line is get a great drive ,dont let your wallet decide for you then use Verbatim(mcc dye ) or Taiyo Yuden blanks and it will be a beautifull thing -
my review of Linkyo DVD+R 16x [CMC MAG M01]
polopony replied to Boycott Linkyo's topic in ImgBurn General
If I read another post with someone wondering why CMC MAG discs dont work consistently or at all I'm going to PUKE Its been said and reported for years now that their media is CRAP and to void it if you want to be able to read it a year down the line or to be able to even burn to it -
My neice just forwarded this to me from Scotland For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo(COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon." In response to Bill's comment, General Motors issued a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part): 1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day. 2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car. 3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this. 4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine. 5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads. 6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light. 7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying. 8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna 9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car. 10. You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off. Please share this with your friends who love - but sometimes hate - their computer!

OK we'll ignore it but don't post any pics in spandex and a sports bra

I thought he was attending to an EAR problem , oh god the depths I've sunk to
-
Microsoft is giving away something for free yeah right I wonder what you are letting yourself in for I cant be bothered registering but all the info they want makes me go hmmmm.Does it report back to the mothership or what
-
it wouldn't read any discs I've burned (DVD5 Yudens and Verbs ) and wouldn't read a factory DVD with Power DVD , this morning 2 days later it reads and plays everything . I didn't do anything but walk away from it all pissed off and the computer is always on under normal circumstances except for the reboot for the flash , this is too strange. When I have time I'll log back into CDfreaks if they let me and see if I can restore original firmware 2.1a with L&D' s flash utility
-
just friggin dandy tried the 2.TG firmware downloaded it flashed it all went ok but now my drive 3500 reports all DVD's as unsupported disks and the cd freaks site wont let me log in with my user name or password says invalid username or password and I cant flash back to 2.1A with the firmware page called up with IMGburn wonderfull
-
we also dont discuss ripping backup copies of DVD's for legal reasons nothing personal .You were directed to IMGburn as the burning portion of whatever program you bought because its the best burn program there is for burning ISO's and the price is right, namely FREE.You should use GOOGLE it might be able to clear up some questions we're not at liberty to answer

only thing preventing them from building an atomic bomb was The US bombing their hard water plants and leveling whole areas to be sure they got it it was called patern bombing
-
Or a space race. Both the Americans and the Russians stole technology from the German V2 rockets to launch satellites and various other things in the ?50s. hell they just didn't take the technology they took the scientists too .The US grabbed Werner Von Braun to name one who is like the Godfather of the space program,I was watching Modern Marvels on the Discovery channel and the Germans had a plane that looked so much like the USAF Stealth it was scary
-
try uninstall and re install, you should also run Spybot Search and Destroy or look for another program that will look for trojans maybe do some searching on GOOGLE there's lots of stuff for programs that might be installed on you box .Maybe in the startup folder you can uncheck things on startup one by one and if IMGburn then runs fine you will have found whats causing the trouble .Do the Google thing and read you'll find the answer .Someone might be able to read the code and give you an answer be patient let some others read the post
