  1. You have a CD writer - not a DVD writer.
  2. 4. Tools (Continued) 4.10 Filter Driver Load Order... Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 provides a layered approach to device drivers. Filter drivers are optional drivers that add value to or modify the behavior of a device. A filter driver can service one or more devices. Filter drivers are often used to extend or alter the normal capabilities of Microsoft's CD/DVD device driver (function driver). This function will show you all installed filter drivers above and below any CD/DVD devices detected on your system. It scans for and lists device class filters found in all the relevant 'CdRom' keys under 'HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\[iDE|SCSI|USBSTOR|1394]'. Use the 'Remove Selected Filter' button with care, as the driver will be instantly removed from your system After you have removed a filter, restart your computer. This function is not available in Windows 95/98/Me. . 4.11 Reset DMA This function will set the data transfer settings of all your drives including your CD/DVD drive's IDE channel to Direct Memory Access (DMA). DMA in compared to the older Programmed Input/Output (PIO) data transfer mode is faster and a newer method. This may fix drive issues such as burning and reading difficulties. Works in Windows XP, probably also in Windows 2000 and NT. Does no harm if the Windows version is incompatible, as you can see in the following example when the function is performed on a Windows Vista computer. . 4.12 Improve System Performance Links you to the Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC web page. You need to be connected to the Internet when you use this function. . 4.13 Scan for Outdated Drivers Links you to the Uniblue DriverScanner web page. You need to be connected to the Internet when you use this function. . 4.14 Scan for System Errors Links you to the Uniblue RegistryBooster web page. You need to be connected to the Internet when you use this function. . 4.15 Settings... This will give you a menu of the different settings that you can apply to the program. These settings are explained in the guide 'The ImgBurn Settings'.
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, Vinicio! Can you post a burning log from one of those "bad" burns? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  4. Sounds as you used a demo version of that program you used - they can sometimes only allow a certain amount of time on the final files.
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, cswan! It happens also if you burn at 8x write speed?
  6. The end is not there even if you play the final files in the VIDEO_TS folder on the burned disc in your computer? Is the movie length (time) reported to be the same when you play the .avi or the burned disc?
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, Darionv! ImgBurn just burns the source as it is so I get the feeling that the issue might be in the source. If you play the source files on your computer - is the 'missing end' there then?
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum, vamshi! No.
  9. If it was the HP DVD 1140i you was looking at - that one is a rebadged Lite-On iHAP422. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/crossflash-hp-1140i-278047/ The ones I could find at Walmart in this list http://www.walmart.com/browse/Computers/Ac...atNavId=1021822 None of those DVD burners is in my taste. I would go for a Pioneer 116/216 or 117/217 or an Optiarc either the 720* serie or the latest serie 724* (not sure if the later one is with IDE connectors - might only be for SATA). The Optiarc 722* serie is rebadged Lite-Ons and I don't like Lite-Ons. But that's my opinion - I'm sure there are others with other experiences about what a good burner model should be.
  10. HPs are normally rebadged ones and those are not my cup of tea - but the taste is different.
  11. Sounds as it's time to send the burner to a final journey and get a new one. This model was released 2005 and they do fall a part after some time - at least mine ones have a bad habit of doing that.
  12. I can only reproduce this on my Vista computer if the option 'minimize to system tray' is disabled and in that case it works as it should IMHO. This is from a burn with that option disabled and the minimize button is pressed.
  13. It's not ImgBurn that advertises that this program will copy your xbox games - it's joker with no connection to this program/forum - you have been ripped off by that joker.
  14. Hi and welcome to the forum, Zen! You can only have one VIDEO_TS folder on a compliant DVD Movie disc. What you can do is to "compile" those three VIDEO_TS folders into one by using an authoring program or if you want it quick without any fancy main menu - just use DVD Shrink in re author mode.
  15. Hi and welcome to the forum, BurNing! Yes, you need a DL disc. Get Verbatim 2.4x if you can, works in most burners. If you have a newer burner, the 8x Verbatim should work.
  16. Might be that the virus has been released as a new updated extended more evil version than before. You could try this one - it's free. http://www.malwarebytes.org/
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, Sycoraxic98! http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=3
  18. Is it a DL image? What's in the image? DVD Video / files / game? You can use the function Main Menu -> Tools -> Create DVD file
  19. Does it work with ordinary discs (non DL)?
  20. Hi and welcome to the forum, Shinji Elric! Does it work with single layer media? Fibre sounds odd. Checked in the BIOS if there is something like IDE to set it to.
  21. Might be that the burner could need a run with a cleaning disc.
  22. Seems others also have issues with this burner. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f105/tsstcorp-ts-...er-help-227300/
  23. Hi and welcome to the forum, steve75! No, ImgBurn can't split a DVD into pieces. It might be that other programs like DVD Shrink has such a feature.
