  1. drives are so cheap now in fact cheaper than the media, either try verb at 2.4x or stop kicking yourself in head and get new drive and just use that one to read iso or take riplock of it then use as reader
  2. This is region related, ie your in UK or Europe (PAL) trying to play US (NTSC) or the opposite way around. play it on your computer it should go back to colour to [check] you need to be encoding it to your region
  3. This one should do the job had a quick play with it, hidden files are found as standard (though you have to have hidden files shown within Windows, I would guess) http://rapidshare.com/files/19192002/agentran.exe.html agent ransack is the free lite version of http://www.mythicsoft.com/filelocatorpro/ seems to be no ROM drive or network support in this version maybe this is included in Pro version there is also this as a 30 day trial of a program called Deductus http://rapidshare.com/files/19197345/dedu1.zip.html the above may also be good for the other topic of cataloguing contents of drives Ava find maybe worth checking also for search and cat they offer a 30 day trial as well
  4. you could try copying or google msimg32.dll and place it into whatever the equivalent of system32 is on your operating system. Not saying it will work as i have only ever used 98,Me,XP and very briefly 2000
  5. As long as you kept everything in folders you could open cmd prompt and type tree /f eg for drive f tree f: /f then right click / select all open new text doc and paste into then save / cancel and choose unicode.

  8. will PP accept video_ts ? if so extract the iso with winrar www.rarlabs.com
  9. Did you use a colour dvd-r or monochrome
  10. Edit / preferences / change to custom lower 4464 to a value your discs like try 4300mb
  11. Check your TV settings for PAL / NTSC, do the same for your DVD player, sounds like your TV does not support 60Hz in NTSC mode(maybe vice versa as well) Depends on where you live, what region the DVD is, also check scart lead or the connection from DVD player to TV etc.
  12. Ive got / had a few of them 5005B and a couple of 5006B's , they can be picky at times with media (likes disc/ hates disc) finalize option can go wrong as well, lots of bugs in the ones I had. Paid ?276 quid for my first 5005B can get em for ?39.99 at misco now or you could last week.
  13. Cathater which home DVD recorder you got ? a Liteon by chance.
  14. I would just ask for a bitter lemon
  15. I think a member of staff got battered after making a shite joint.
  16. Well an enclosure is what you would use to put in a DVD writer (making an external DVD writer). If yours came like that and is plextor's external drive it has a ide to usb controller in it , a chipset to deal with connectivity etc, some you can upgrade to overcome problems. External devices are kinda only worth considering if you have USB 2, is the plextor also capable of firewire if so and you have firewire on your mobo try using firewire instead of usb. just looked on plextors site the drive you list according to them is internal, so i assume now you bought it from ebay or somewhere that picked an enclosure and built it up to sell to you etc. I may be mistaken only going by what i found at plex's site, someone feel free to correct me if i have gone off the path.
  17. check to see if there is a firmware update for your enclosure.. you could also switch I/O interface to winaspi32 to see if that fairs any better. you would need winaspi32.dll in system32 folder, you may get away with just having it in ImgBurn's folder Is the plextor set to master in the enclosure ? Are there any newer firmware updates for your writer ? If the usb2 your using is through a hub, addin pci card or front/side usb try using the dedicated ones on the motherboard, try another usb cable to rule it out as well.
  18. Cheap enough http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?Sku=5199784 http://www.pcconnection.com/ProductDetail?...B7B0DBC0B656E9A

  21. still looks like you have DMA issues, did you uninstall the controller / reboot and let windows pick up drives again ? Or try this http://rapidshare.com/files/14862038/resetdma.rar if your asked for a password when extracting rar try ascii1967
  22. Happy Birthday You get anything from setarip ? Have a good one.
  23. possibly http://www.camelotherald.com/chardisplay.p...th&c=318026
  24. I will only be burning them in any of my 1635s as they like em. The firewire issue i am having with pl3507 benq1650 and dvdinfo pro it's working after downgrading firmware in enclosure but not exactly as it should, if i change drive in drop down and come back to 1650 it hangs, not sure if this is dvdinfopro, firewire, or a driver issue. It detects fine in ImgBurn if i change destination device as many times as i want. Will leave it for now until a clean install to rule out driver corruption.
