  1. Thanks thought i was seeing things, like i said been a long time since i used my pioneer drives.
  2. would have been easier.. just noticed on reinstalling dvdinfopro to this computer i get accuracy and balanced MAX LBA in window etc on pioneer 108 for scan, this unique to my pioneer 108 ? Been a long time since i used dvdinfo with a pioneer..
  3. open up dvdinfo pro, select the drive you have with the already burnt dual layer in and press either media icon or pi po icon
  4. put one you have already burned in
  5. And they all lived happily ever after.
  6. looks like it's 4 4 girls
  7. It will play +r if the ones you have tried were burned on your pioneer 109 as that automatically changes the +r to dvd-rom for you , got a feeling that if you had a burner that left the book type as +r your Toshiba would reject it and say no disc.
  8. also after looking at pdf specs of your toshiba tivo etc, it only mentions dvd-r, so the auto book type to -r when using your single layer +, looks like it hates dual layer if your tosh is out of warranty you could open it have a look at which model dvd-rom drive is in there, or if you happen to know, maybe there is firmware for just the rom drive that you could install rom drive in pc and update or even replace the rom drive to one that plays dual layer, this depends on the dynamics of the tray/rom drive in your tivo etc. looked for ages to find which model is in there, have also asked toshiba for firmware maybe they will give me link
  9. I'm pretty sure pioneer 109 automatically sets the book type to dvd-rom on +R media i think this also the case for Dual Layer. Can you check in dvdinfopro to see the last disc you recorded to see if it tells you dvd-rom. IF its auto setting them to dvd-rom then your problems lie elsewhere with the stuttering etc.
  10. Funny though.
  11. It may not like dual layer + or be in its list of playable media types, therefore setting booktype on your verb dl+ to dvd-rom would make it look more like a pressed disc to your system as these are DVD-ROM
  12. maybe you just need a lens cleaner The now kinda indicates it used to and now it does not, though i don't think you mean't that , so maybe dl media is not on it's list of formats. You set book type to dvd-rom ?
  13. @ Jack
  14. My mate told me about this, he broke down and RAC came and picked him up took him pub crawling. When I broke down forking AA turned up.
  15. As suggested Build the ISO first and not on the fly, It's Killing your drives.
  16. hetster single and hand.
  17. you choose speed MAX in dvdinfopro try it with either the 4x you selected in Nero cd dvd speed or 8x never use max option
  18. When you say purchased Imgburn, you mean you paid someone for it, or you donated. Also check out the guides http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showforum=4 Also It does not copy DVDs like it,s predecessor

    Happy Birthday
  20. You need to look elsewhere beginning with G, Imgburn is for burning only.
  21. Not as funny as the church signs but still cool enough.
  22. French wine, English wine better. OOh my foot hurts, my computer blew up, it's too f cold, look at the size of the que, are we there yet.
  23. Mine is sata to usb2 and don't think it can be daisy chained. I did some writing tests late last night. 1st burned at 16x / ISO stored on Samsung 80 /sata usb 2 drive/ writer in mobo ATA liteon 160p6s 2nd burned at 16x ISO stored on Samsung Sata / usb2 / writer liteon 1635s in sumvision usb2 enclosure Was going well until it reached 14.3x then bottle necked (basically the way i see it when writing at about 19,000 and reading upto that amount usb2 bus ran out of bandwidth) hence the return to about 8x writing of disc. As you can see in graph Gonna try now with liteon 1635s in enclosure this time connected via firewire / getting data[iso] from sata usb2 drive Though it seems this msi board has issues with the mobo via firewire and pl3507 or something Lol. so dunno if it's even going to burn. Edit: There is a problem between pl3507 and the built in Via firewire on my msi 975x, half the time windows stops the device, yellow EX in device manager etc, updated 3507 to latest , still the same, it started to burn to ty16x at 0.4 and stuck there for about 20 secs then 0.0 for 3 mins no data etc. So i decided to connect it to the 1394 on my sound blaster audigy platinum 2 , it's fine on there or seems to be, got upto 15.1 though image was to small to see full speed. Got a 4.35 gig image now to try. Comes to something when you have to connect to a creative product to get round some incompatibilty issue LUK you used the firewire on ya sumvision with the 1394 connector on your intel 975 board and did or does it work ? Firewire burn iso stored on samsung sata/usb2 hd, liteon 1635s via firewire. Got upto about 15.6x before bottle neck.
  24. probs get 52,776 kb/s steady if i put it into mobo, I get to 15.8X on 16x discs burning on usb2, will see what i get storing iso on the samsung whilst it's in sata>usb caddy and then burning on ATA then on USB2 benq 1650 or liteon 1635s. Theoretical throughput of usb2 as you know is 480 mbps /8 = 60 meg a second yeah right 22 - 26 meg a sec is more like it. They reckon firewire for all its lower 400 mbps /8 is actually faster than usb2, never used firewire to check, might stick a PATA drive in the combo 5.25 and see if it is faster.
  25. my liteon buffers do not empty They kinda Flat Line Think you would be better off, reinstalling your operating system and keeping things simple eg just imgburn SPTI, your mobo drivers, maybe just stick with ms ide drivers and test your drives, if still does the same you would need to be looking at either your cables are screwed or the ide controllers.
