Do you have the latest driver software for your RAID controller? Do you have Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools installed? Also please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in Tools menu).
-
What's the source drive where the files are being read from? How is it connected to the computer? If you believe it's due to some setting, please re-install the latest ImgBurn and, when asked about keeping your current settings, answer No.

You don't need Ner0 InfoTool in order to use ImgBurn: InfoTool displays information reported by the drive, much like Tools -> Drive -> Capabilities in ImgBurn, and having a red X only means that such feature isn't supported by your drive. It's not an indication of any problem. You should always be using the latest ImgBurn version since older versions have bugs.

/portable and portablemode=1 - what settings does it change?
mmalves replied to Elddric's topic in ImgBurn Support
If you proceed exactly as LUK said in his post it works fine. You don't need to mess with the settings; the paths are saved as relatives whenever the /PORTABLE switch is used or ImgBurn.ini contains PortableMode=1. -
Finalise Disc Failed! - Reason: ID CRC or ECC Error
mmalves replied to juz's topic in ImgBurn Support
Did you have verify enabled when you burned that disc? Could you post the full log from that burn session? I'm asking these because sometimes that error is reported but the drive was able to use the correct layerbreak from the .dvd file. -
On Vista it changes the status bar font, both when using aero or windows standard

Look in the FAQ and try using Process Explorer and Unlocker to see if any other program is holding your drives.
-
That's because they're placed in different areas: when you boot that CD it emulates a floppy drive, and as such, has the files which the original floppy had. In order to read them on DOS you need to load a cdrom.sys of some sort and MSCDEX. What exactly do you want to do? I'm asking because maybe there's a solution that you can download and use without having to modify stuff.

jakez, you need to flash your burner with Liggy's AD-7170S Bitsetting Firmware 1.03. After doing this (and rebooting the computer of course) ImgBurn automatically booktypes +R media to DVD-ROM on Optiarc drives freddes, you also need to flash your burner with the bitsetting firmware, look in Liggy and Dee's website donta beat me to it

/portable and portablemode=1 - what settings does it change?

When in portable mode all paths saved are relative to where ImgBurn.exe is located. Open ImgBurn.ini with Notepad and you'll see -
/portable and portablemode=1 - what settings does it change?
mmalves replied to Elddric's topic in ImgBurn Support
By adding PortableMode=1 to ImgBurn.ini the program will run in portable mode even if you don't run it with the /PORTABLE switch. That happens because ImgBurn reads its configuration from ImgBurn.ini, providaded that such file is in the same folder as ImgBurn.exe -

Try with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks and it should work, as it seems your burner doesn't like the Verbatim 8x blanks you currently have. -
Download it again, install and run. Does this work?

It means the drive wasn't able to write to that disc. Update the firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before doing so), reboot the computer and try again with a brand new blank disc. If it still doesn't work, try the other supported write speeds.
-
You'll have to do that manually by using Verify mode and selecting the disc image created using Read mode. For a more accurate comparison, use another drive to read the disc while verifying against the image.
-
ImgBurn can't do that. Ever thought of using a USB pendrive? It's faster than using a rewritable DVD and, arguably, safer too.

Tools menu -> Settings -> change Language from English (United Kingdom) to Italian and click OK

The log from that burn would be very useful (Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs).
-
There is no Lead Out in the log is this normal?
mmalves replied to AngelFeather's topic in ImgBurn Support
That would be this bit from the log: ImgBurn always finalises discs, so you have nothing to worry about -
The latest firmware for your burner is 1.09, so you might want to update again
-
Our crystal balls are in the repair shop so you'll have to give us more info (i.e. the burn log in new thread of your own) so that we can give more detailed help/suggestions. Look in ImgBurn's Help menu and you shall see

Have a look here (there are links for online suppliers): http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 And yes, using the Verbatim blanks specified in the link above it should work
