  1. ImgBurn is just a burning tool, i.e. it doesn't convert anything. You could probably have used DVD Flick to do the conversion you wanted. ImgBurn supports the most basic .nrg images, and that's because Ner0 didn't publish their image standard.
  2. First of all, please install the latest ImgBurn version Also look for updated drivers for controller where the burner is attached to (better look in the chipset's manufacturer website than the motherboard's website as the latter aren't updated much).
  3. Use DVD Flick to convert your AVI file to a disc playable on any DVD player
  4. Please post your Filter Driver Load Order (look in ImgBurn's Tools menu). What other burning/DVD related software do you have installed on your computer?
  5. Do you know which chipset your laptop uses? You can use SIW to find out (it's shown in Hardware -> Motherboard).
  6. If it doesn't work then use a lens cleaner disc on your burner and try with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks.
  7. That has been suggested many times before and it may get implement someday when ImgBurn's Build mode gets a revamp
  8. The burner doesn't support the blanks you're trying to use. Try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks and it should work
  9. If the 10 discs were from the same spindle then yes, there is a chance that they had a manufacturing problem. Try burning them on other burner(s) and they might work.
  10. Try burning at the other available speeds. If that doesn't work then try with Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) Made in Singapore blanks and it should work
  11. Have you tried with a brand new blank disc? I'm asking because it errored out at exactly the same sectors as before. You really should use a lens cleaning disc on that drive to rule out dirty lens.
  12. On a brand new BD-RE you have to do a Full Erase before you can use it. It takes a long time because the drive first formats the disc (this is done by the drive itself and is what takes most of the time) and only then the disc is erased by ImgBurn. After this, you don't need to quick erase anymore: just overwrite the disc By the way, please ensure you're using the latest ImgBurn version
  13. Try burning at 4x, and if that doesn't work use a lens cleaning disc on your drive.
  14. The default write type ImgBurn uses is DAO/SAO, and Incremental is there as an alternative option for people who need it. Change the write type back to DAO/SAO (Tools -> Settings -> Write tab) and try at 4x with a brand new blank disc.
  15. Please start a new thread and also post the log of your failed burn (look in ImgBurn's Help menu)
  16. Please try with the latest ImgBurn version
  17. Try burning at 4x to see if you get a better burn. If that doesn't work then try with high quality media such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks. You may also want to try with DVD+R media. Is there any reason for you to have changed the write type to Incremental?
  18. LUK asked for that debug log so that he could confirm that the right command for 16x speed is being sent and the burner confirms setting that write speed. The problem is that the burner isn't obeying the write speed set, and this is out of ImgBurn's hands I'm afraid
  19. That's strange: even though you've selected 12x the burner only reached 6x. Do you have Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools installed? Have you installed the latest drivers for your motherboard's chipset? You should also check if you have the latest BIOS available for your motherboard model.
  20. Try burning at 8x or 12x, or 16x at most if you have the need for speed
  21. DVD Flick should do the trick
  22. You can also check if a disc is bootable by using the Read mode
  23. Adding to what Shamus said, slower doesn't necessarily mean a better burn. Most newer burners, for example, do better burns on dual-layer media at 4x, sometimes even faster. If you want more help then describe to us your problem and also post a log of the problem (look in ImgBurn's Help menu).
