To burn that image to a disc, use ImgBurn's Write mode. If it's a PC game, you might want to use Daemon Tools to mount it to a virtual drive and play from there

The options you want would be Don't Prompt Image Details and Don't Prompt Volume Label, both at Tools/Settings/Build tab.

Are you sure that drive can read DVDs? You can find out at Tools/Drive/Capabilities. If it can read DVDs and still shows that message after you've inserted a DVD disc, then the drive (or the disc) is faulty.

Enable the Sort Files By Source List Order (*) option in Tools/Settings/Build tab. That way the files will be burnt in the same order as they are in the Source list of ImgBurn's Build mode.

Do you have a disk image of that floppy or the files that are in it? If you have access to a computer with a floppy drive, you could use ImgBurn in that computer to read your floppy to a disk image, which can then be used to make a bootable CD. All the magic is under the Advanced/Bootable Disc tabs of ImgBurn's Build mode

Update to the latest firmware (SL01) (remove any disc from the burner and close the tray before updating) and try again. Maybe also try burning at 8x or 4x. By the way, those discs are low quality, so you might want to get better media (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden higly recommended).

Could you explain further what you want to do? You have a bootable floppy image that you want to use to create a bootable XP CD? Do you have a non-bootable XP CD? Maybe we can add boot functionality to that CD. We can even slipstream XP SP2 to that CD

Only a firmware update could possibly fix that. As I said on post #2: I know it sounds like preaching, but Verbatim DLs are known to work where many others fail. If you can't return your blanks, keep them around, as you might be able to burn them with another burner.

Make a copy of your MDS file and then use an hex editor to remove the path before the ISO image name (it's at the very end of the MDS file).

Have you tried different filesystems? ISO9660 + Joliet limit the filenames to 64 characters (can be increased to up to 110 characters if you change the level in Advanced/Restrictions), or maybe try ISO9660 + UDF if your player supports it.

ImgBurn burns ISO images as they are, so you'll need to "edit" the ISO with another tool (UltraISO/MagicISO/PowerISO/WinISO/etc come to mind)

Your network and/or the source computer/HD are too slow to maintain the speed needed for burning at 8x. Copy that image to a local HD and it should work as expected

Yes, it should be similiar to: "C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\ImgBurn.exe" /PORTABLE /SETTINGS "C:\Program Files\ImgBurn\ImgBurn.ini" Notice that there are spaces between each argument.

Are you sure it's a DVD-RW disc and not a DVD+RW? I'm asking because DVD+RW can be overwritten (i.e. no need to erase before burning), but DVD-RW can't do that and needs a Quick Erase before burning to them (ImgBurn asks you about this and does it automatically). Anyway, where the subtitles aren't being displayed? On the computer or a standalone player? Which filesystem(s) are you using?

If the layer break in the settings is manually set to a value, and that value isn't the same as the .dvd/.mds file, ImgBurn will warn you of the different values and won't start the burn, thus saving you from wasting a disc

Yes, for X360 games the layer break must be at 1,913,760 sectors; however, if you burnt the image from the .dvd file (as you should ) then that file told ImgBurn to set the layer break at 1,913,760 (open the .dvd file in Notepad and you'll see ).

Some burners, like Samsung's SH-S203B, do better burns at 4x on Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001-00 media. Other burners are able to burn this media at up to 8x, and they don't do bad job at that speed either. From the few scans posted on this thread over at CDFreaks, it seems this burner does good job burning Verbatim DVD+R DLs at 4x. May I ask what problem(s) are you having that you think are related to burn speed? Maybe we can help you further

Apply the latest firmware (1.05) and see if it allows 2.4x with that version. Remember to remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before flashing the drive.

While you're at it, update your burner's firmware to the latest version (SB06) Remember to remove any disc from the drive and close the tray before applying the new firmware

Try with Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x MKM-001 Made In Singapore and it might work. See if you can find a firmware update for your burner (maybe contacting the manufacturer as I was unable to find anything about that burner). By the way, even if it did burn OK, it probably wouldn't work, as it seems your vortex-dmc4.dvd file is incomplete/corrupted: all X360 games have the layer break at 1,913,760 and, since your .dvd file didn't tell so to ImgBurn, the disc would be burnt in the wrong way.

Try burning at 2.4x instead and see if it works

Reboot in Safe Mode (keep pressing F8 until you get the Safe Mode option) and try again. //edit: Too slow

Did you remove any disc that was inside and closed the tray before flashing?
