You should enable Verify, as that compares the burned disc against the source image: if you get errors/miscompare then it was a bad burn.
As for reading the disc, ImgBurn asks the drive to read every sector of the disc, and if the drive reports any error while reading the disc then ImgBurn will show you the error reported by the device.
By the way, there's newer firmware available for your Samsung SH-S223C burner. You might also want to look for the latest drivers for your SATA controller(s).
