"When is Christmas" ? well usually in mid summer when we go on holiday and she gets drunk ................oops you mean the "other" kind of christmas Ron . its still not to late to send your letter to Santa
-
with such a bad attitude like the one you displayed, uninstalling ImgBurn is probably about the best thing you can do i reckon.then go and find a 1 click solution for your burning needs. then go and ask them stupid questions. I can see about 3 things in the log file that would cause you problems, but guess what ?? you dont need to know now youve uninstalled Imgburn
-
theres part of your problem, the discs your using try some verbatim 2.4x (made in singapore) with the MKM 001 dye
-
i'd say the same, but the good news is ........ its not to late to send your letter off to santa
-
the only way we can help you is if you have the log file from this burn , and if you can tell us the exact error/warning message you got. Otherwise all we can do is guess
-
we have a good guides section if you need help, see the tips banner at the top of this page for the link

you didnt answer a question, could you burn faster than 8x before you had problems ?
-
try the HP site for updates
-
its another of those matshita drives ah just noticed donta said a similar thing
-
could you burn faster than 8x before the problems though ? what its telling you is that the system is running flat out and the hdd cant send the data fast enough to the drive to write at the 12x you selected if you havent changed the write speed, check the AUTO settings for media . the data flow problem could well be a number of things example, your using an external hdd thru usb to get the Image from your running a resource hungry application at the same time as burning ect ect EDIT . must learn to type with 2 fingers and be faster

anyone who uses the latest version of nero is a beta tester anyway ? thats how they get the next release sorted out LOL. also, i know a beta tester who tried out the sony 200 disc burner/changer unit . he wasted a 1000 x dvds just testing it !!.................. then i read the instruction book that came with it ,connected it to the right port and it worked seriously, some things do creep thru , but as mentioned if you had 1000 testers, bugs and glitches will still creep thru

have you made discs that play all your players before ? could be your standalone players just dont like dual layer discs wheras your PC drives dont mind them
-
are the verbatims made in Singapore or India ? you want the singapore ones and avoid the India ones
-
yup , its the media , change to verbatims made in singapore and all will be good
-
Its the disc's your using , the drive cant read the 2nd layer even though it only just wrote to it. It ddi manage to read the first few sectors of layer 2 , then gave up although they haven't given you problems before , the inconsistency of dual layer media other than verbatim has just caught you out. It "could" just be a few worser quality ones than you've had before, but to play safe get some verbatim's made in Singapore and your problem should go away the disc may even be readale in a player/console , but no guarantee

I understand the last 3 posts, but How do i burn videos to a disc ?
-
regarding convertxtodvd, i use this, and i save to a folder, then use ImgBurn in build mode as for the overall issue, i dont think you will find a fix for it im afraid , i didnt even bother looking and just lived with it as i said earlier. ImgBurn knows what media is in the drive so thats all that matters for me

Germany in general has the cheapest shipping thruout Europe as Spinner said, the prices quoted are for 70 odd pounds in weight , when you check the english language page on that site a parcel to the UK is 15 euro ( about 9-10 english pounds) which is quite reasonable when you compare it with the UK parcel carriers prices i did a price check on a parcel from the UK to Germany. For a parcel weighing 30kg ( 70Ilb ish) and measuring 12inch by 12inch by 12 inch using economy service Cost = 58.70 sterling ( 90 to 100 euro's) so all of a sudden , the German post is VERY chaep compared with UK costs Germany to UK via German post for a 30kg parcel = 10 pounds sterling Uk to germany via UK post for same package = 58 pounds sterling Anything sent to Ireland and Northern Ireland has always carried a surcharge, because of the events of terrorism over the years there, basically , no one wanted to deliver goods in case of items getting damaged/lost/stolen and cost of insurance claims for fun i cic the same check on a parcel to the USA International economy service is 153.15 pounds ( 300 US dollars) and upto 28 dyas for delivery !!!! and this isnt tracked, with no insurance in the event of loss or damage .The US postal department wont do insured shipping on inbound international items, because they cant garantee delivery !! I would of thought after 7/11 they would track every single inbound item as normal procedure using a postal service other than a courier, how much is it to send the same 70ib parcel to the UK ?

I prefer mmalves response to yours. i aint really bothered whose responce you preferred !! you didnt ask the original question
-
as per mmalves , Ive had 2 LG RAM drives that always show as CD drives with blank discs in, wether they be CD or DVD, dont worry, ImgBurn knows what the media is before it burns it
-
theres a firmware update available for your drive , your on I 18:43:11 Destination Device: [0:1:0] PHILIPS DVD+-RW DVD8631 CD21 (E:) (ATA) and theres version GD30 out now Secondly, the probable cause of your current problem is the media your using I 18:43:11 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: CMC MAG-D01-00) (Speeds: 2.4x) anything that uses the CMC dye is very low quality im afraid. The ONLY media to use for dual layer +R is Verbatims with the MKM 001 dye
