  1. Defrag? What's that? good explination ,he knows what it is just doesn't do it (defrag I mean) very often ,I believe I'm due for my yearly defrag also
  2. you mean you've used them so much they're starting to feel cheap and you want to pass them on
  3. I've checked the media code for the discs on the webshop i ordered them from: media code: MCC03RG20/TYG03 these are actually 2 media codes the first Verbatim -R and the second TYG03 is Taiyo Yuden discs like LUK says your Firmware is really out of date , I have a 2500 and with the newest Firmware it definetly burns both of these discs
  4. after much burning at various speeds and scanning the burns it seems that the best quality is at no more than 12x ,burns at 16x were of lesser quality% and I believe lots of members keep it at 8x the time difference isn't that great, you can download DVDInfoPro and do some scanning yourself with the Plex
  5. The shell is found at the bottom of this page: http://www.svcd2dvd.com/ You'll also have to have Net 2.0 installed. this is from a search with Google

    Fall back?

I guess time flys when you do that
  8. just wondering, do you think it would be right to help people who are pirating dvd's and provide info on how to break copyright protection considering that DVDD was closed down and the author arrested for exactly that, nobody is looking for that to happen to IMGburn or LUK again and so we avoid those subjects , besides his question was answered before his torrent post

    Fall back?

They figure out that the cows would have a hell of a time changing time on their wristwatches then? I'm sure that they spent tons of money polling the cows about their confusion and housewives about the fabrics in their house fading from the sunlight. Reminds me of thr Proxmire Awards aka the Golden Fleece Awards
  10. I don't know of any employers that wouldn't have a problem with you visiting a site/forum that wasn't related to your job . If its the avatar thats causing problems then disable the avatars in My Controls ,board settings, disable avatars
  11. splip is the seamless playback flag. "Seamless Playback Linked In PCI". I dont do dual layer burning but any of your choices would be OK

  15. not to burst anyones bubble but CMC also makes some of the Verbs ,you can Google it as for the statement about CMC MAG discs those discs with the cmc mag dye are the blanks that cause the greatest amount of error I/O complaints going back to the days of DVDD forum so friends shouldn't let friends burn to CMC MAG we've been telling members to use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden for ages for a very good reason .Its not often we see a freshly burned CMC disc passing the verify stage and based on experience they become unreadable after a short period of time you pay your money you take your chances

  20. the foam rubber also acts a s an insulator so be aware that its not letting the heat disapate like it should ,heat is the #1 enemy of electronics and over heating anything really cuts down on its service life
  21. basics for a second hard drive is they are configured as slave and master ,there will be jumpers you can set up on the back of the drives( Csel ,slave ,master ) .Since you are adding one it will be set for master out of the box and the one you have in the computer will be recognized as master(if its Cable Select change it to master ) . You will change the one you add to slave . With the IDE ribbon (cable) the connector furthest away from the from the motherboard connector will be for the master drive the one in the middle will be the slave .Shut down the computer, before you add the drive make sure that the connectors are properly seated ,dont force anything and then restart it .Windows XP will recognize the new hardware
