  1. Good point blu - I have never used VobBlanker for that so forgot that it could.
  2. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers You can also search the model number at the link above for info on the player
  3. what type of discs ? +R RAM doesnt have to finalised for playback on the same recorder EDIT : notice how i highlighted it in red as its LFC's favourite colour Yeah the DVD+R's need finalising in the Panasonic DVD recorder volvo and the RAM's don't.
  4. Ok well if anyone is interested I deleted ZA 7 last night (not clean uninstall, just the quick and dirty add/remove option) and then rebooted, then reinstalled ZA. All seems ok at the moment, it did an immediate virus scan following an update (something else it used to hang on since the upgrade) and found a couple of "virii" well installer apps actually but at least it seems happy. At midnight last night it again did its scheduled daily scan and went through without a hitch and importantly without locking up the CPU ! Still it's on it's final written warning, one more mishap and it's off for good ! (Shhh it is probably off for good anyway but don't tell it ! )
  5. I believe it is in some countries but here in the UK we cannot advise you on how to circumvent copy protection
  6. Do they really only support 2x write speeds or is a firmware upgrade in order ? Mmm I love drives like yours, rpc1.org doesn't even list that drive and when I did a Google I found a few posts about fw's not being available and eventually one that listed the same fw as you have so I guess it must just be crap media.
  7. Further to polo's comments once the disc is finalised nothing else can be added. I note on my standalone Panasonic DVD recorder that I can record different tv episodes recorded on the disc at different times like an old VHS cassette, but to allow them to be played back I need to finalise the disc....
  8. Will let you know how I get on with it tonight, it will be a shame if I have to lose it completely cos I liked it up until the last upgrade but since then the Virus scans are getting hung up every night
  9. I found the Verbatim RW's to be a bit flakey on first go with them as well
  10. I agree with volvo that the TYG02 media dye is excellent, I have also used a lot of the TYG03 (16x) DVD-R's but tend to restrict those to a max of 12x to get the best quality out of them. I would also happily recommend the Verbatim Discs, with the MCC and MKM for dual layer dye codes.... some reviews of the Verbatim discs are available here: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showfor...r=all&st=60
  11. I am using the ZA 7 Internet Suite (with Spyware and Firewall etc), my Windoze firewall is off as well...... To be honest it's only since I upgraded from ZA6 that I have had any issues, gonna uninstall and then reinstall tonight, hopefully that might fix it altho it does mean it will have to re-learn all my settings
  12. Deffo avoid the Verbatim DVD-R DL's - bloody useless !
  13. I have the same Pioneer (DVR-112 out now tho) and BenQ as the boss - both good burners !
  14. I am struggling with ZA 7 at the moment, the stupid thing is fooking up the virus scans each night and getting stuck on random .rar files. Most nights it's running for 7 hrs before I come down and skip the scan ! Will uninstall and try a new install tonight......
  15. See greg's other post as well - the boss has answered this
  16. I have never heard of UIF before, still the boss has already answered....
  17. The phone call sketch was not heard that before !
  18. Do you have a blank DVD in the drive ? Medium not present ? Also I am thinking CD-RW/DVD-ROM like Shamus ?
  19. I have an A level in Japanese volvo :smartass:

Happy Birthday old man !! Hope you have a great one !!
  21. Well donta has improved his love life using his Wii - he said only the other day that his grip is much better now and that he satisfies himself much quicker than previous to owning a Wii
  22. It really isn't hard to swap out a drive and install a new one, even I can do it !! The hardest bit for me is getting the bloody case open every time
  23. Yeah I saw the Blu ray tests mate - nice work ! Pleased your US DL's are ok as well
