  1. The log shows that the burn was ok (without knowing if it can be read back as you had disabled the Verify option).
  2. Only solution seems to get an internal SATA card.
  3. Hi and welcome to the forum, rdaystrom! ImgBurn is a burning program and can't change the .avi files to fill the screen. You need to use a converting program as Nero Vision.
  4. Might be that the SATA writer doesn't like to be attached to your motherboard. What brand/model of mother board do you have? Latest chip set drivers for the mother board installed?
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum, rocket2247! Might be that your stand alone player doesn't like to play burned discs. Could you post a burning log from one of those burns? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum, kyleb! I have the same writer and I had big issues to get it to write without issues connected to the SATA connectors to my ASUS mother board so I had to get an external SATA card and connect it to that one. You could do a test to find out if the discs were burned terrible or there is another issue. It could also be that you have connected the writer to a jMicron connector and sometimes they are tricky to get to work with writers. Another issue might be the chip set drivers used for the SATA channels. Here is a guide on how to perform a test. You can skip the part of the creation/burning and just insert one of your previously burned discs. Use 8x as the default reading speed. The Nero program is free. You can get the latest version of the program here. http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ There is also www.dvdinfopro.com to use. If you use that program, set the read speed to 4x. Also, there might be other issues that could be spotted if you post a log from one of those burns. You'll find the old logs here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  7. Try to burn at 8x, if that also fails, it might be time to get a new writer. It seems a bit slow for a max write (=16x) it should have been able to get a little bit higher up in speed. The chip set drivers are up to date?
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum, Oleg! Not the best brand on the earth. If you then also have a writer that doesn't like that brand, you can face those issues. Computer readers are better readers (in most cases - some brands are pure crap) than regular DVD standalone players. The skipping usually happens when there is a part on the disc that the player can't read and it then jumps to a spot after the reading issues, you should also hear some 'noice' from the player when it tries to read. Posting a log from a burn could give some more clues/advices. You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  9. Did a test with DVD Flick and I have no problems to run DVD Flick and then let it automatic burn with ImgBurn. No locking issue. I'm running Vista Ultimate SP1. Tested with DVD Flick ver 1.3.0.4 and ImgBurn ver 2.4.2.0. Are you running your computer as admin?
  10. If they are not protected then just do this: 1. Use Read Mode 2. Use Write Mode
  11. Looks as DVDFlick is not releasing the drive. You should be able to unlock it without restarting the computer by Tools -> Device -> UnLock Tray
  12. For pure data backups it might be working better. I guess they built the factory and need people to buy the products...
  13. If money is an issue, at least switch to DVD+R DL media. -R DL media seems to be a joke for DVD movie stuff.
  14. There is a way of updating the firmware (.bin file) in this thread: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f105/mini-faq-sam...writers-220607/ http://www.samsungodd.com/eng/Firmware/FWDownload/eng_FW.htm Can you see the writer in Windows Explorer?
  15. This is the firmware you are trying with? http://www.samsungodd.com/Eng/Firmware/FWD...ode=&os_no=
  16. Hi and welcome to the forum, MentholMoose! It's already been suggested and done and will be available in the next version.
  17. Hi and welcome to the forum, alsager777! Sounds as the writer doesn't like the media that you are using. Can you post the log of the failed task? You'll find it here: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  18. If it is a computer program, you can't "shrink" it. Try with a double layer disc.
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum, chrispy123! The Windows default drivers did not work, or the old version of the Nvidia drivers did not work?
  20. There is a PCOC version of the firmware. http://www.liteonit.com/global/index.php?o...&Itemid=154
  21. You can't do it with ImgBurn, but it's possible. Try www.cdfreaks.com for guides.
  22. Can you post the log? It might give some more clues. Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
  23. These days I like Pioneers. You should be able to find info on how to cross flash it in this thread. http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/overview-sony...writers-140594/
