  1. http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/dereference

To go to an address before performing the operation. For example, in C programming, a dereferenced variable is a pointer to the variable, not the variable itself. The expression int Num; declares an integer variable named "Num." The expression *pNum = &Num; places the address of the variable Num (not its contents) into the pointer. The ampersand is the "address of" operator.

  2. disable Norton's auto protect, or any other anti-virus/security program and exit anything else you have running on right hand side of toolbar.

Double click the exe from the zip/or rar file, make sure you have the draw of dvd writer closed and no disc is inserted.

Check which drive it detects and make sure it is the right one/ if you have a couple of rom drives installed etc.

After it has finished you should restart/reboot windows, so windows can pick up the hardware again.

  3. The audio Ts folder has nothing in it and has nothing to do with making a playable dvd

Not exactly true, I agree though in this case i don't think that is the problem, It may be depends on age of their dvd players.

Some older players will not play movie without the inclusion of AUDIO_TS folder (yeah there is nothing in it usually) still needed though for some really old players. I had one like this a Panasonic 1 i think, long ago.

All the other dvd players i have or have had inclusion of AUDIO_TS Not important.

Have you checked in your dvd players to make sure you have got downmix enabled or set it to stereo or even try mono if you took them off an old source etc.

  4. dunno why i got 2 posts for the price of one, if i had of used the crystal ball, could have seen this coming

  5. the 4 hours your referring to, is that for nero recode to encode/transcode, as thats nothing to do with your lg, thats down to your CPU/MEMORY/HARD DRIVE etc.

  6. Its not only the software that is the same....the drive is the same(the hardware)(cant say if there were other firmware or anything) and the disc's are not only from the same brand and with the same quality....they are from the same package

MEANS zero, i have had 50 out of a spindle of 100 perfect the rest were just awful and were exactly same media code etc.

I lost faith in my lg burners seemed they would just burn whatever speed they liked with 8x rated disc's

I would still ditch nvidia ide drivers.

  7. If it was me,. i would change the drive, try the ttgo2 in another writer.

Try some different disc's in your LG.

Check cables, uninstall ide drivers and use built in windows drivers for the ide side of your nforce board.

I never install nvidia's ide drivers as i think they are terrible.

get your bios to re detect all your drives.
