ImgBurn will recognise your burner no problem, as long as it's not broken or the chipset in usb enclosure is working.

I would maybe setup the forum with a tick box on registration that you Agree and understand that Imgburn is not a replacement for Dvdd and that ImgBurn cannot copy protected disc's. Apart from you would still get some idiot asking.

For divx/xvid from dvd - I bought fairuse , they do a free version which is just as good as paid version. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&n...iruse&meta= See if you can also find the older divx4.12 bundle as well to install divx4 so you can select it in fairuse instead of the xvid as I still prefer this to divx5/6 or whatever they are onto now.

As above turn I/o debug off and your errors which are not errors will vanish. If there is a real error ImgBurn will tell you.

If you can look at box of any 360 your thinking of buying look for 175Watt These are the more efficient ones for the time being compared to the 203Watt 360's. There will be another one along shortly as well.

what games have you looked at on your sons 360 out of interest ? Couple of the better 360 titles (graphically) + (Gameplay) Gears of War Halo 3 Assassins creed (I think you got that for PS3) I have it for 360. Should be comparable Cod 4 although a little short (that would be another you got ps3 version I have 360)

change the ide cable. run memtest + at boot to test for memory errors disable anydvd/anyhdvd if you have it running. Re-install a clean copy of XP (not upgrade but format drive) Maybe change the PSU if you try everything else
