  1. Please post the log from that burn (you can find it at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs).
  2. If it isn't protected against copying then this method should work: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6380 Also please read this regarding dual-layer media as it's very important: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000
  3. The burner seems to be using a "generic" write strategy on those discs, which isn't guaranteed to work. If it did have better support for the 8x Verbatim blanks it'd also have other available write speeds.
  4. Try getting Verbatim 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) DVD+R DL blanks, as it seems your burner doesn't support the Verbatim 8x blanks you're using. Another option is to buy a new burner, they're pretty cheap
  5. And leave Verify enabled, as that ensures the disc was properly burned.

  7. The software isn't stopping you, it's your burner that's refusing the reserve track command because it doesn't allow overburning on DVD-R media. You might want to try with DVD+R media, but it's not guaranteed that the burner and/or media will allow writing further than 2,295,104 sectors.
  8. You may also want to do what this post says: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=967
  9. Try burning at 8x or 12x to see if it works.

  12. Make sure you're using the latest drivers available for your chipset. If you are, try older versions.
  13. There's no reliable way to check the transfer mode (Windows lies), so the only sure shot way is by removing the controllers and rebooting
  14. Please post a recent log from one of such burns (you can find it at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs).
  15. It seems MadDog went out of business, but I could find the latest firmware for your burner here (1.F3). Remove any disc and close the tray before updating. Reboot after it has finished. Leave Verify enabled to make sure the disc was properly burned. Where are your Verbatim blanks made? It's printed on the packaging. By the way, when burning from the .dvd file you don't need to manually set the layerbreak in ImgBurn's Settings, so please restore the default settings (hint: Defaults button)
  16. The link I've posted has firmware 1034, did it not work for you? By the way, I didn't mean to say I've wasted time searching for the firmware for you. I simply tried to point out that searching might get you a faster answer than waiting for our replies. Anyway, I think it's time for a new burner for you, but don't worry, they're pretty cheap nowadays
  17. Took a whole minute to find the latest firmware for that burner Anyway, if you buy a new burner you'll get much better quality burns, even on that :& media you're using...
  18. Make sure you have the latest drivers available for your motherboard's chipset. If it's nvidia then try older versions to see if it helps.
  19. Try using a lens cleaning disc on that drive. You may also want to try with DVD+R media, such as Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden blanks.
  20. The only way to know is removing those filters and burning again. If some program stops working because it used one of those filters (unlikely situation) you can always re-install that program, right?
  21. Then please post the log from when you've burned with Verbatim 8x blanks (you can find the logs at Help menu -> ImgBurn Logs).
  22. Try IsoBuster for extracting the contents of that disc.
  23. The feature is for all +R media (i.e. DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL) but LG burners do not support booktyping DVD+RW media.
  24. You need to convert the files with DVD Flick, ConvertXtoDVD or similar programs.
