  1. Update your drives firmware with this one: ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/R143730.EXE
  2. The locking issue is covered in the FAQ. I do NOT recommend you disable locking of the drive. (i.e. go back and re-tick that option!)
  3. Any change like that would only be implemented in the entire build mode GUI stuff was redesigned. At the moment it's really only meant for burning stuff as-is. You need to prepared everything on your hdd first. Great show though isn't it Shame they stopped after just 1 season
  4. Nope.
  5. is this a pub quiz?!
  6. hmm only got up to 9.9x on that 16x media... I guess WOPC must have been working overtime - suggesting you were getting a low quality burn and then eventually it just failed. Slow the burn down to 8x and try again. EDIT: doh! I should refresh the page before posting
  7. Every thread you'll ever read in the forum will always say you need to use Verbatim DVD+R DL media. This one is no different. Check for firmware updates for your drive too.
  8. Those ones are actually 8x TYG02, someone's just been a bit click happy with the old cut and paste.
  9. If you don't want printable ones, get these: http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=228&prepg=3 They're also £5 cheaper.
  10. The audio is part of the video files (normally - unless is a DVD Audio disc). Search Google for 'dvd demux audio' or something similar.
  11. Yes, that's exactly the problem.
  12. Unless you post a log or something we've nothing to go on.
  13. rename the file to .iso and burn it in write mode.
  14. Is the file an image file? or is it like a big document / video file you want to burn? If it's an image file, you should be burning it in Write mode. If it's a document / video, you need to change the 'File System' to something that DOESN'T include ISO9660. The file size limit within the file system is 4GB. It simply cannot handle files bigger than that.
  15. ImgBurn is just a burning tool. What goes in is what gets put on the disc. If you want to convert anything to fit the target media (when it's from a larger source), that's your problem and you'll have to find the suitable tools to do it I'm afraid. It's not something ImgBurn does or will ever do.
  16. Please post the log info. Look in the 'Help' menu within ImgBurn.
  17. If it did everything exactly the same it would do. Different programs show different flaws. That's why some work better one minute and not the next. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the hardware/media/firmware. It's the dye that's important on the discs so if you just avoid getting anything with that infodisc dye then you should be ok. Remember the brand name doesn't really mean anything. Multiple brands can use the same dye and the same brand can use multiple dyes.
  18. Looks like the drive doesn't like the dye that disc uses (INFODISC-A10-01). As you can see from the log, the drive is reporting that it's busy doing something - hence the 'Long Write in progress' message. Get some Verbatim ones instead. You can even get 8x Verbatims ones so they're better in that respect anyway
  19. Nope, post number 4 (above) still applies.
  20. That last burn appeared ok to me (ignoring the retry for the sync cache command)... what exactly is a 'coaster' about it? Why don't you verify the disc as part of the burn? Then at least we'd be able to tell if the drive can read it back. Oh and you've not needed to burn at 1x for a long time. If anything, you'll be using better strategies at 8x and get a better burn.
  21. They've been there for ages. Look on the 'General' tab in the settings.
  22. 1. Update your drive's firmware. http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloa...p;fileid=127491 2. Get some different discs, the drive doesn't like those CMC MAG. AM3 ones. Get some Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs instead.
  23. Not until I release v2.4.0.0, no.
  24. Both do the same thing. Build mode wouldn't work full stop. The only way to copy a 'complex' disc like an Audio CD is to use 'Read' mode to take a complete image - and if you try doing that you'll see 'Read' mode doesn't support Audio CD's yet.
