You should start with a firmware update for starters in IMGburn right click your drive and from the menu scroll down to where it says "check for Firmware Updates" click on that and then follow the prompts

dvd rom is the preferred setting as its more compatible with standalone players .There is a temporary setting and a permanent setting choice for the drive

just to throw my 2cents in I Googled that MID and most if not all the other drives listed didn't even see 2.4x for the media, 4x was the slowest listedand up to 16x . Try a firmware update as this media wasn't even produced when your current firmware was installed on the drive .The drive doesn't really see that media ID and defaults to a speed for CMC MAG that is part of the drives firmware .The 300n is in fact I believe a NEC 1100 a pretty old drive as things go.First step is update firmware and then ditch anything with CMC MAG for a dye manufacturer Like its posted Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs are the way to go ,why waste your time and effort by using media that has been described as suitable for landfill ,pathetic garbage www.digitalfaq.com have a read there and it might he if you just want to check if its a usb limitation then throw the drive in the box and burn something find the problem by the proccess of elimination

.Those Phillips discs are CMC MAG which are the biggest garbage you can find. considering you downloaded your material your files are probably suspect but you really need to get Verbs to have a real shot at doing any dl stuff the ritek DL's are garbage also

If you need help burning ISO's this is the place but all reference to copying DVD's is off limits

check to see if theres audio when you play it on the computer or is it no audio on the dvd player, the main audio track may be something your setup doesn't support AC3 audio is supported by all DTS is supported by some .Also did you reauthor your ISO
