  1. I just love all these new OS foibles !!
  2. Mmm you could try slowing the burn down as Chewy suggested but personally I would give up and get Verbatim DVD+R DL's instead, much better discs and the only reliable DVD+R DL media out there.
  3. Thanks for letting us know
  4. I am not the expert on these errors but to me it looks like your drive doesn't like that DVD+RW, well to be exact the dye that it's using. I have not tried one of these so can't be 100% sure but I am guessing that your drive is failing to write to the disc as part of the format. You might want to get better quality Verbatim DVD+RW's and see if that sorts the problem I did try and see if there was a firmware update available at www.rpc1.org for your drive but I couldn't find your drive !!
  5. Elementary my dear donta.....
  6. That's really ruff Sorry don't bark at me I know it was sick, I just lost my head there for a moment - Oh shit there I go again, I am like a dog with a bone.
  7. Yeah the firmware on your Pioneer does not support speeds in excess of 2.4x for those discs..... I have the same drive and that is the latest firmware so if you really want to burn them faster you will need to use your BenQ, that said they are not very good Dual Layer discs so you would need to stick to 2.4 at any rate and even then I am afraid you are not guaranteed consistently good burns.
  8. We could have done with you earlier padowan bastard
  9. If you used ImgBurn to burn the iso it finalises the disc when the burn is finished, therefore it's not a multi-session disc (and this is not supported) and therefore you would have to erase that DVD-RW to burn to it again
  10. I put a little red box round it for you mate
  11. polo forgot one important bit Kev.... Just press the bloody burn button !!!!!!
  12. Ah donta was flogging em off for a pony......
  13. It's ok Shamus, the beer is better than replying first !!
  14. Just stick with Verbatim DVD+R 2.4x DL's..... they really are the only ones that will give you reliable burns, the cheapers ones are not a patch on them
  15. http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=307209 The above might help, it even refers to a guide by blutach from this forum !! The searches I did mentioned a number of times problems with iso's where they will be almost the full capacity of the DL discs. Therefore in future you may want to just allow a little space at the end of the disc.
  16. Gotta love those free passes
  17. I haven't seen the BenQ 1640 around for ages, if you can get a DW1650 or DW1655 if you want lightscribe. I think Del-Boy Donta had some for sale a while ago, not sure if he shifted them all tho.
  18. yeah 'caught' alright with his pants down !!!
  19. Are you trying to say something LFC??? mate - can I just add...... and leave ImgBurn on default settings they work best that way !!!

    Footy

Most times here if the match is on the BBC you can turn the volume down and listen to the Radio 5 Live sports commentary instead. In fact during last Summers World Cup there was an option for us digital viewers of selecting the radio commentary on the TV !!! Much better.... Sorry about your boys last night donta - I see Roeder said the defence was shit too
