from the changelog:
Added: Buffer Recovery (+ user configurable threshold settings) for times when burning and hdd goes mental, meaning device buffer empties. This means less start / stopping for the drive.
this is what is causing these ....

not LUK but..., it doesn't make any difference really, i burn dual layer discs from the files, i only save iso's if i want to experiment with them later
i suppose the best way to put it really is imgburn no longer requires an iso to burn from

if you have 'check for updates' set imgburn WILL ping google and microsoft, but that has been discussed before here
