  1. It does seem to be a right stinker of a writer. It actually makes matshita drives look almost decent.
  2. He can afford to. Lets see how his sense of humour holds up when trying to install, re-install Vista on a PC world Celeron System.
  3. Wherever you buy them from Insist on them sending Singapore ones, If they say there is no guarantee tell them you will order from another retailer and repeat the process until you get some and get them to give a concrete Yes they will be sending Singapore ones and tell them if they send you anything other that you will be sending them back.
  4. Expect to see the error pop back as it's hardware/ I/O issue.. Have no idea why when using wnaspi32 as i/o your drive vanishes never seen it happen on lots of computers.
  5. slow or what ? "alds" I will have cold fries with that.
  6. it still uses an ide cable inside enclosure. Did you try replacing the usb cable as well ? when you say you did all the nero bis what do you mean, post a log of it failing with wnaspi32 as the IO
  7. try changing the usb 2 cable. If your using SPTI which is default for ImgBurn and Xp try changing to WNASPI32 in ImgBurn tools/ settings/ I/O Switch back to SPTI if you already switched to WNASPI32 at some point You will need to place wnaspi32 into ImgBurn folder or system32 or both. If you have nero installed search your drive for wnaspi32 if not download it from nero's site. Check ide cable inside enclosure is in fully , see who make the logic chip inside enclosure as it may be programmable therefore you can update it with a newer firmware which might fix the issue. If you have had this drive a long time and you have never ever seen the Semaphore Timeout Error the drive may have had it or the cables etc. Maybe also check to see if there is a firmware update to your writer.
  8. DVD +R DL write at min 2.4x As suggested post the log of the failed burn so that no one is guessing.
  9. I remember them all being there and editing the strings but probably something went wrong when i was tired and my lang translation is not exactly anything but a joke.
  10. Might have been something I did but can someone check with a liteon drive after altering translation for advanced options /overspeed/ smartburn etc. My smartburn vanished from my translated advanced dropdown. It was probably down to me though.
  11. You should be able to manage 8x with 2 usb2 devices (usb2>usb2) and get decent burn speeds / Cpu Useage / scans etc. Or it might be time to check out some new enclosures or a different EHCI controller or both. 12. lol he edited post as I was typing first reply/response (At time of reading he was saying it got stuck @99% with lots of read retries much in the same way as my ghost 2003 bootable cd does in IB 2.3.2.0 read mode) And I did say later that it was a simple read error
  13. Maybe it was different issue to that which I mentioned and yours was simply a read error whereby the disc you tried to read ISO from was scratched dirty and your drive just managed to read it this time. actually i just read the CD with ImgBurn 2.3.2.0 so it must not be like the ghost2003 disc

  15. The next version of ImgBurn has fixed this. At present it's the same with A couple of bootable ISO I have, for instance the ghost2003.ISO I have gets to 99% and errors.
  16. The liteon I mentioned will now, the Pioneer is no go for scans and benq good luck finding one. Where you buy them from is down to you , you should know retailers in your own country. www.svp.co.uk is a good place and I know they ship to a lot of countries I cannot see why they would not ship to your location.
  17. Buy a couple they are cheap enough. Pioneer 112(after march 2007) or 115 for DL+ or get Liteon 20A1P to scan/write. Cost for both about £30 + £5 to deliver or whatever you currency is.
  18. burn wii images at 4x max anyway and not 8 and try a quick fix maybe of switching the I/O in ImgBurn settings to WNASPI32 instead of the default SPTI (you will need to download WNASPI32 that from nero site unless you have nero installed already so search ahead folder for it) and place either in ImgBurn folder or system 32 or maybe both if neither work) It's down to the chipset in your usb enclosure as sometimes they do not play nice with the hardware you install into enclosure. You could also see if there are any firmware update to the burner your using and see if the chipset in enclosure can be flashed with a newer firmware as well. If it still does it with WNASPI32 you could try the other I/O like Patin or elby search google for them or try flashing chipset or buy another enclosure like octigen one or buy a different burner but you may still end up with Semaphore timeout errors, as I said above mixing an enclosure (with whichever chipset and all dvd writers is hit and miss pot luck unless you know a combo that works)

No you need Sam Then when you lose all the time you will see just how good Benitez was.
  20. ImgBurn is not a decrypting tool. IT cannot copy protected DVD movies.
